The WEIRDEST Reason Why Rick Ross Was TRENDING On Twitter..
Welcome back to Celeb Essentials. Celebrities trend on social media all the time, but for most artists, at least, it generally has something to do with their music. This time, though, Rick Ross started trending for a weird and slightly uncomfortable reason: his body size. Or, more specifically, the fact that people don't seem to focus on his body when his music speaks for itself. In short, Twitter users on both sides of an argument over Rick Ross' business moves and thoughts on snack foods turned into a full-blown debate, and it was all because of a "debate" between Rick and DJ Khaled, courtesy of GQ.
Rick Ross seemed to begin trending after GQ posted a video of him and DJ Khaled having a "GQ Hype Debate" over "the best snack of all time." The rappers talked about snack foods, with Ross "repping his very own Rap Snacks Rozay Cheddar potato chips" and DJ Khaled in the corner for Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It doesn't seem like a topic for significant debate, but given that both rappers were talking about junk food, and their "debate" involved talking more about their dietary habits, controversy seemed to emerge. In related news, Music mogul Rick Ross is gearing up to sue a woman for using his trademark moniker, “Boss.” According to TMZ, the rapper-turned-businessman wants Tiffany McIntosh to change the name of her event from “I’m the Biggest Boss Conference,” going down on Oct. 13 through Oct. 16, to something else. He said she is biting from songs like “The Boss” and “Push It,” using his already established brand, to build up hers. He also believes it causes brand confusion with his “Boss Up Conference” that happened in September. McIntosh’s event will also be star-studded with the likes Vivica Fox, Master P, and Romeo Miller. The rapper said he would like to handle this outside of court but would require her to change the title and stop using his music to promote it. The Florida native wanted McIntosh to give him a decision by Wednesday, October 5. However, sources say she has no intentions of changing anything and is set to go forward with her event.
