US President Joe Biden has reportedly allowed Ukraine to use American weapons to strike targets inside Russian territory near the Kharkiv region. Kyiv would be allowed to use the weapons in both Ukrainian and Russian airspace against some targets. Biden was facing international pressure from his allies France and Germany, who earlier this week allowed Ukraine to use their weapons to neutralise military targets inside Russia. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned the West against letting Ukraine use its weapons to strike inside the Russian territory, saying NATO members are playing with fire and their actions could trigger a global conflict.
