Hamas Launches Rockets Toward Tel Aviv For First Time in Four Months | Firstpost America
Hamas carried out two different attacks on Israel over the weekend. Hamas first claimed to capture several Israeli soldiers after trapping them in a tunnel in the Northern Gaza city of Jabalia. However, Israel said that none of its soldiers had been abducted. Meanwhile, Hamas fired several rockets towards Tel Aviv which were mostly intercepted. In retaliation, Israel launched airstrikes in Rafah killing at least 2 senior Hamas commanders and 35 Palestinian civilians. Meanwhile, calls for an independent Palestinian state grow as Saudi Arabia joins Ireland, Norway and Spain in pushing for a two-state solution.
