Putin Says Strikes on Ukraine’s Energy Part of “Demilitarisation” Plan | Firstpost America
Russian President Vladimir Putin says that strikes on Ukrainian power grids and energy infrastructure were necessary after Ukraine used drones to strike Russian oil refineries last month. Putin says that he chose the “humanitarian path” by not attacking Ukraine’s power infrastructure during the winter months. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky slammed Western Nations for failing to deliver air defence systems. Ukrainian senior generals also say that they are running short on manpower and that the army is at its “Breaking Point”. Meanwhile, Ukraine and at least 100 nations have been invited for Peace talks in Switzerland in June, however Russia has not been extended an invite. Putin has called it a “political circus” and “funny but sad”.
