Russia appears to have devised a strategy to completely detach itself from Western influence following the imposition of sanctions amid the Ukraine conflict. President Putin's goal is to maintain a thriving economy, driven by his belief that other global players, particularly those outside the West, are rapidly gaining ground and challenging the dominance of the United States. Recently, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia is operating under the assumption that the sanctions imposed by the United States and its allies will endure for an extended period. However, Peskov also highlighted the belief within Russia that the influence of the United States on the global economy is diminishing. Russia frequently highlights how resilient its economy is, even in the face of extraordinary sanctions imposed by the West as a result of the conflict in Ukraine. It does, however, continue to face difficulties including chronic inflation and a labour shortage. A notable spike in military output is responsible for much of the 5.0% year-over-year growth in the economy that was reported in October. To make up for the drop in trade with Western countries, Russia is now looking to do more business with China, India, and other places in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, the world economy isn't just about the United States.
