The James Webb Space Telescope may be quite incorrect about the extraterrestrial planets it studies, but this is not due to any flaws in the telescope itself.
This is the conclusion of a recent study that did not examine the optics of the Webb telescope, but rather the models used to analyse the observations produced by the telescope.
