What if everything we know about the universe is only a small part of something much bigger? What if our universe isn’t the only one that exists?
The James Webb Space Telescope was launched to look deeper into space than any telescope before it. Its job was to study distant galaxies, see how stars are born, and look back in time close to the beginning of the universe. Because it uses powerful infrared vision, James Webb can see light that has been traveling for more than 13 billion years. That means it’s showing us what the universe looked like shortly after the Big Bang.
But when scientists started analyzing the data, they noticed something strange.
Some of the earliest galaxies looked far too big, too bright, and too organized for how young the universe was supposed to be.
