The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) gave us its first pictures in July of this year, and we still need to manage to get over how stunning they are. We were used to the Hubble Telescope capturing our photographs for us for 30 years, but with the JWST in full force, Hubble's legacy might only last for a while.
The degree of detail and clarity is unparalleled. It seems you are wearing new spectacles with a stronger prescription when you see the Telescope's fresh perspectives of particular well-known objects, such as the often-photographed Carina Nebula and the planet Neptune.
