Captured on the James Webb Space Telescope or known as the “JWST, was a baffling discovery. NASA sent a transmission to the exoplanet WASP-96b which lies 1,150 light-years away and has been described as a hot Jupiter. The planet, like Jupiter, is a gas giant. Its orbit is extremely close to its star which causes the planet to bloat, it possesses half of Jupiter’s mass and yet is 1.2 times its size in diameter.
