Scientists have just discovered six massive and incredibly ancient galaxies using NASA's newly launched space observatory, and it's turned our understanding of the early universe upside down!
Even though the telescope has already spotted galaxies that are even older than these, it's the sheer size and maturity of these mega-galaxies that has got the scientific community buzzing. The latest discovery suggests that these galaxies date back to roughly 600 million years after the Big Bang, which is a lot earlier than we previously thought was possible.
