Many Nigerians have reacted to the sacking of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, after the Osun Election Petition Tribunal on Friday held that Adegboyega Oyetola was able to prove that there was over-voting in some polling units. The tribunal also held that the All Progressives Congress and its candidate in the July 16th governorship election were able to prove a case of forgery against the Governor. Adeleke in reacting, described the ruling as a miscarriage of justice and vowed to appeal the judgement. Over the weekend, The Independent National Electoral Commission extended the deadline for the collection of permanent voter cards, in all its Local Government Offices nationwide to February 5th 2023. It is the second time the Commission is extending PVC collection nationwide owing to the large number of Nigerians that are yet to collect their PVC’s. Despite the extension, a video recorded by an eyewitness at the Oshodi Isolo secretariat Inec office made the rounds on social media.
