The Royal Australasian College of Physicians President Jennifer Martin says there could be a “huge potential impact” due to the global shortage of saline.
Her remarks come as the worldwide shortage affects Australia's healthcare system, with some hospitals reportedly rationing their supplies.
“Potentially, it could be quite a big problem but I think we’re doing a lot of things to mitigate the effects of this (shortage),” she told Sky News Australia.
